Phoenix General Policies

Placing Job Orders
When ordering reprints and enlargements, clearly state the prince size and quantity desired. If custom cropping is needed, please supply a print sample showing the desired area to be cropped. We accept no responsibility for improperly cropped orders due to unclear, insufficient or incorrect information. With regards to 35mm negatives, please do not cut negatives individually, and be sure to clearly indicate the number (1, 2, 1a, 2a) which most precisely defines the frame. Do not hesitate to ask our staff for assistance.

Rush Services
Completion times may vary according to the complexity of the order and volume fluctuations as well as schedule of machine operations. If you required an order to be completed by a specific deadline, a 'Rush Service' charge may apply. Consult with our staff to ensure your order will be completed within your timeframe.

Limitation of Liability
Submission of any film, CD, DVD, digital media, print, slide, negative or any other materials to Phoenix Professional Labs, for any purpose, constitutes an agreement by the client, that, if damaged or lost by this company or any subsidiary, agent or dealer, the materials in question will be replaced with an equivalent amount of unprocessed film or CDs. Except for such replacement, the handling of such film, prints, CDs, slides, negatives, digital media or any other materials by Phoenix Professional Labs is, without warranty or liability even though damage or loss is caused by negligence or other fault.

Handling of Restoration Projects
Be assured that, while we treat every photo with the utmost care, some photos are in such disrepair that we are unable to maintain the condition in which the photo was given to us. As such, we cannot be held responsible for any further damage to the submitted piece.

Digital Submission Guidelines
At Phoenix, we accept a wide variety of file types. If your file type is not listed, or you have a special request, please contact us before placing an order.

Image Files are to be:

  • JPEG (preferred)
  • Saved at 400dpi (for prints smaller than 12"x18") or 300dpi (for prints larger than 12"x18")
  • In RGB colourspace -- we cannot guarantee the colour match of CMYK submitted images
Layout Files are preferred to be exported to a raster format (JPG) rather than submitting the actual layout/vector files due to OS incompatibilities, font mismatches, and embedded images.
